Competition winner for the KDFC classical radio challenge. Utilizing a melodic motif given by KDFC Radio, nine 5-25 second pieces of music recorded by a woodwind quintet and string quartet were created and played live on air for one year. Eight of the pieces featured a solo instrument melody or focus (one for each instrument of the quintet / quartet), and one of them was an ensemble piece. Recorded at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Unfortunately the bassoon recording was corrupt, so only a midi sample is shown here.
